Our namesake in the US-They seem like quite nice people and they’re
doing the same sort of this, but it’s a lot more hip than
ours and they do far more –they must be a bit younger than
us. Like us, they haven’t given up their day jobs.
If
you've given up the car altogether and have some money to spend
on a good quality bike that will last forever, you could do a lot
worse than a Dutch Bike.
The Green Providers Directory is the UK's leading resource for finding green, organic and fair trade products and services. They are a not-for-profit directory whose aim is to encourage more people to buy from ethical and sustainable sources. All the companies listed in the directory have been vetted so that you can be sure of their eco-friendly credentials. They also provide information and advice on a range of green issues. And they were very nice about allowing 1 Less Car a right of reply when we objected to an article about anarchists that they printed on their website. And they were very patient waiting for us to put up this link which we promised we would do last Spring, and have just managed to sort it out! (That's enough apologising -Ed)
Bicycology
is a cyclists' collective that offers a range of activities to promote
cycling and make the links with wider issues of environmental and
social responsibility. They use their passion for cycling to pursue
a vision of a just and sustainable world through a combination of
education, entertainment and creative direct action. Oh, and they're
anarchists.

streets for all.We all use our local streets. But for decades,
traffic priorities have been allowed to overwhelm them, leaving
them dirty and unsafe. We fight for vibrant streets to revitalise
neighbourhoods and reconnect people.”
